GUEST SPEAKERS
Professor Petra Andries (UGent) will talk about scaling up social enterprises. Afterwards, Ms. Janine Teo (Solve Education) will explain how digital technology helps to bridge education needs in developing countries. Our last speaker, KU Leuven alumnus Paul Thoeng (Trikaya Bali), will witness how land and community development go hand in hand in Bali, Indonesia.
SHARED VALUE & SCALING IP SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
Specific attention is given to the use of the shared value approach in strategy development and on scaling up social enterprises. Shared value is defined as policies and operating practices that enhance the competitiveness of a company while simultaneously advancing the economic and social conditions of the communities in which it operates.

The second focus deals with the strategies social enterprises can use to scale up their local impact. Real life cases will illustrate the new approaches in strategy development.
