Resource Manager M/F


The Resource Manager's main responsibility is to manage the planning of the pool of consultants. This includes ensuring that all known work is correctly registered in the digital planning tool. S/he is responsible for processing instructions for the registration of planned hours in the planning tool.


The resource manager is in daily contact with management and the project managers to manage the capacity planning, understand the resource needs, analyze, and discuss solutions for planning conflicts. The Resource manager has an important role in optimizing the available capacity. S/he also articulates recommendations to manage the performance of the consultants and recruitment needs.



Responsibilities & Tasks:


  • Allocating resources to different teams or projects based on input from project managers and management

  • Ensuring the quality of the planned hours in the planning tool

  • Optimizing the capacity by reviewing the composition of project teams and investigating opportunities for unplanned consultants

  • Preparing planning meetings to discuss planning conflicts and other concerns

  • Discussing with project managers and management daily to capture all required information on resource needs

  • Developing and implementing capacity plans to meet current and future needs

  • Monitoring and reporting on capacity utilization and performance

  • Identifying and mitigating potential capacity bottlenecks

  • Assessing the impact of new projects on capacity

  • Managing and forecasting capacity and budgeting accordingly

  • Issuing instruction notes with respect to the registration of planned hours in the planning tool



Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in similar role(s) in Consulting

  • Professional written and spoken knowledge of Dutch and English.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics or Business

  • A pragmatic approach, and you think outside the box to provide a working solution

  • Good understanding of internal business processes and project management

  • Proven knowledge and experience with capacity management design
